The arts are needed more than ever as we face today’s current events. When this crisis passes and we reflect back, it is imperative that all of Canada feel proud of how we came together as a nation. Canada is a global leader in human rights and compassion; we need artists to keep expressing and exploring this part of our identities to help the country unite and heal.

ABOUT ONE VOICE

We are an informal network of Canada’s not-for-profit arts + culture organizations.

We are actively seeking to organize and expand our membership and take on the mission of understanding and advocating on behalf of all members of the arts and culture sector across the country.  We are seeking to present a single voice and willing partner as we navigate current events together. Our working name for this initiative is One Voice for Arts and Culture (OVAC).

We are speaking with government and the elected officials in Parliament to ensure the survival and sustainability of our sector, and will act as a resource to the sector providing leadership and infrastructure to support this aim.
